Job description

For our client, we are seeking a AVP, Deputy Chief Underwriter - Life - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will help shape life underwriting strategy for a complex portfolio, with a strong emphasis on large-case decisions and high-net-worth risks. The role will partner closely with underwriting leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen risk selection, consistency, and customer experience. It is a highly visible position that combines technical underwriting expertise with team leadership and process improvement.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $155,800 – $259,600 annually

Responsibilities

• Partner with underwriting leaders to shape strategic direction for individual life underwriting


• Consult on complex, high-value underwriting cases that require advanced expertise


• Lead the development and execution of the large-case underwriting strategy


• Oversee the high-net-worth foreign national underwriting program for consistent risk selection
