Job summary

Gibel & Associates Inc. in New York, NY seeks an AVP-Senior Credit Analyst to oversee a Corporate Banking credit portfolio, coordinate with Account Officers, and mentor a Credit Analyst team.

You will prepare and review credit analyses and applications, monitor risk, and support the credit approval process. The role requires strong leadership, advanced financial analysis, and experience with KYC/EDD, debt capacity scenarios, and internal metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of credit analysis and portfolio management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise, mentor, train, and direct a Credit Analyst team.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio in coordination with Account Officers and prepare credit memos and requests for Credit Committees.
• Perform financial analysis using financial statements, historical performance, and diverse risk factors.
• Develop financial projections, assess credit risks, and compute internal credit metrics (e.g., ratings, RAROC).
• Continuously monitor the portfolio and escalate potential credit deterioration and non-compliance as needed.
• Coordinate and oversee credit applications through the approval process with Account Officers and internal parties.
• Supervise and mentor the Credit Analyst team, reviewing work, tracking deadlines, and training as necessary.
• Coordinate exposure and credit-risk monitoring and ensure accurate reporting across the bank network.
• Interface with Agent Banks and analysts for market information and client discussions.
