Role Summary/Purpose: Synchrony continues to build a world-class digital bank with smart savings products and capabilities that help consumers prepare for their futures. Our Consumer Bank agile teams bring these products to life through all stages and touchpoints of the customer lifecycle.

This AVP, Consumer Bank Product Owner – Web leads the website implementation of new features and enhancements to our consumer bank servicing and account opening platform. They report directly into the VP, Consumer Bank Digital Strategy and Delivery.

Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in-person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training, and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Act as the Agile Product Owner for the team
  • Own/manage the product strategy and roadmap of Synchrony Bank’s servicing and account opening web platform
  • Oversee and lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle including build, test, launch, and adoption
  • Work with the Agile Development Team and Scrum Master to lead backlog refinement sessions, story pointing, iteration planning, and support release planning
  • Coordinate and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for releases
  • Gather market intelligence, competitive insights, and user VOC - translate these findings into business strategies and create detailed user stories/requirements
  • Own all “run the engine” functions for the site, such as triaging and managing defects, employee education, user inquiries, SLA issues, and more
  • Partner with key stakeholders such as Strategic Initiatives, Marketing, IT, Compliance, and Operations to identify and prioritize future features to deliver to market and to ultimately manage the product backlog
  • Work closely with our Consumer Bank Product Owners to create a unified digital customer experience
  • Work closely with legal and compliance on any changes to the site, ensuring all disclosures are up to date
  • Work with internal and external UX partners to create screen prototypes/wireframes, gather feedback, and optimize performance
  • Partner with the Consumer Bank Digital Analytics team to monitor and understand usage patterns using tools such as Adobe Analytics
  • Keep all product documentation up to date
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or high school equivalent with 8+ years of digital marketing in the credit card industry
  • 4+ years of digital, web, and/or mobile product management experience (preferably within financial services or a regulatory environment)
  • Must work East Coast hours

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD annually and is eligible for an annual bonus based on performance. Actual compensation will depend on experience and skills. Salaries are adjusted for markets in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be 18 or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to undergo a drug test, background check, and submit fingerprints as part of onboarding
  • You must satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
  • Internal employees must meet specific time-in-position requirements to post for other roles
