Job summary

Citi is seeking an Assistant Vice President for the NAM Commodities Middle Office in Houston. The AVP will lead a team supporting global trading desks, ensuring accurate trade capture, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance across Oil, Gas, Power, and other markets.

Responsibilities include resolving trade discrepancies, performing controls, and supporting Front Office with complex trades and new product setups. The role emphasizes leadership, project work, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with commodities or financial derivatives.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive problem solving and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify trade discrepancies and escalate trade breaks to desks.
• Resolve trade breaks between capture systems and clients/brokers/exchanges.
• Reconcile exchange-traded and OTC positions between systems and counterparts.
• Perform regulatory controls to ensure compliance and prevent breaches.
• Produce metrics and management reporting; support front office as needed.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
