Job Title: AVP, Business Banker
Job Description:
Summary:

This position is responsible for generating and expanding the Bank's deposit relationships. The role involves meeting or exceeding sales goals for small businesses (revenues up to $10MM) through outside sales activities, collaborating with branch managers, and other related duties. The goal is to contribute to the profitability and growth of the Business Banking Unit by building and developing new and existing client relationships. The role includes consulting with customers about their financial goals, promoting appropriate bank products and services, and cross-selling to maximize client satisfaction and bank revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform direct outreach to prospective clients via phone, in person, mail, email, and other communication channels to generate deposits and fee income, including pre-screening loan requests as needed. Spend most of the time outside the bank.
  2. Achieve sales targets related to deposits, new relationships, and product per relationship metrics.
  3. Coordinate with various partners to ensure clients receive suitable products, and refer clients to other bank departments as appropriate.
  4. Conduct joint outside sales calls with branch staff at client or prospect locations.
  5. Develop internal and external referral sources through community involvement, events, seminars, and professional groups, and actively seek referrals from new clients.
  6. Maintain regular contact (at least bi-annual) with deposit customers to ensure satisfaction, identify business changes, and solicit additional business and referrals.
  7. Promote a positive image of the bank within the community.
  8. Collaborate with team members to facilitate client onboarding, including introductions.
  9. Record all sales activities in Salesforce weekly, following a disciplined sales process.
  10. Adhere to policies, procedures, security, and regulatory requirements.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of outside sales experience.

Additional Information:
  • Must be able to travel within the assigned market.
Compensation:

Starting salary of $120,000 for the first 9 months, followed by $100,000 plus commissions thereafter.
