Job summary

PDS Defense, Inc. in Wichita, KS seeks an FAA Mechanical Technician 4 to perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronics/avionics equipment. You will work on components and circuit cards, using advanced test equipment and precise procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

Associates degree in electronics technology or equivalent preferred; high school diploma minimum.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
Surface mount/through hole soldering experience required.
Electronics component level repair experience preferred.
RF repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing.
Align and adjust complex electrical components to ensure proper function.
Analyze circuitry and verify wiring and operation to locate malfunctions.
Perform difficult electrical/mechanical repairs, disassembly and assembly.
Document repair results and estimate repair costs for customers.
Able to research and provide in-depth estimates for overhauls and bulletins.
Record results in SAP or service worksheets as applicable.
