We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will play a crucial role in developing and advancing our new Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL / FlatSat) testbed for our Blue Ring spacecraft program. Blue Ring is the "Swiss Army Knife of satellites" and can support a variety of missions in Earth orbit domains out to the cislunar region - including transporting and hosting payloads, refueling satellites, as well as performing data relay, storage and compute via our in-space edge compute capability.
In collaboration with external customers and the internal development team, you will design and build a vehicle-level emulator of the Blue Ring Spacecraft. You will decompose test goals and objectives to deliver spacecraft avionics testbeds that meet system test plans and requirements. You will be directly responsible for developing and managing lab architecture, including rack designs, lab layout, and facility integration. In addition, you will choose, acquire, and, if needed, design or adapt signal emulation and data acquisition hardware. Furthermore, you will develop integration solutions for spacecraft components and electronics, such as component mounting, grounding, and harness design.
