Job summary

World View in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Test Engineer to join the avionics test team. You will work across engineering groups to design, execute, and optimize test plans for flight avionics platforms, applying rigorous data collection and analysis.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, root-cause analysis, and developing test software and procedures to support Stratospheric ISR initiatives. A Bachelor's in engineering or science and strong collaboration skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interface with multidisciplinary teams to design tests and analyze data.
  • Ability to read engineering standards and technical drawings.
  • Curiosity to understand avionics at component and system level.
  • Willingness to do hands-on work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; team player.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct unit and system level testing on flight avionics platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures.
  • Maintain test procedures to optimize throughput.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines in a team environment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on failures.
  • Document test lab equipment and layouts for production.
  • Develop and train on test software and equipment.
  • Monitor project test plans to meet objectives.
  • Define vehicle configuration requirements per test phase.
  • Execute integrated product tests and data reduction.
