Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks an Avionics Technician at Level 2 or Level 3 in Goleta, CA. You will perform RF circuit testing, tuning, and assembly, using hand tools and soldering as needed. You’ll read engineering drawings and work in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with avionics experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years avionics experience in aerospace.
• Ability to read, write and follow English instructions.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF circuit testing, tuning, and assembly.
• Use hand tools and occasional soldering to assemble hardware.
• Take measurements with calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Conduct antenna pattern and RF network measurements in the chamber.
• Support manufacturing with reading drawings and ensuring shop cleanliness.
