Job summary

Textron Aviation is hiring an Experienced Avionics Technician on the 2nd shift in Tampa, FL. You will perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems on aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues from in-flight data, replacing defective units, and conducting tests with pilots as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years in avionics, and A&P certification is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair.
• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification is helpful.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable, is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of avionics systems on board aircraft.
• Analyze in-flight data and customer feedback to diagnose issues.
• Identify and repair faults in units or wiring discrepancies.
• Replace defective units, repair wiring, and modify aircraft as needed.
• Accompany pilots to conduct functional tests on repaired or aligned systems.
• Follow aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, and written instructions.
