Shield AI in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Avionics Engineering Team Lead to supervise and mentor a team of professional and skilled technicians involved in avionics testing, integration, and flight support. You will guide daily execution, ensure safety and quality, and drive performance against program objectives.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people leadership, requiring interpretation of harness schematics, wiring diagrams, and production documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on avionics or aircraft electrical systems experience.
• Experience supervising engineering technicians or equivalent.
• Ability to read harness schematics, PCBA schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience troubleshooting avionics across wiring, connectors, PCAs, and power systems.
• Experience using avionics test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, generators).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise professional and skilled engineering technicians across testing, integration, production and flight support.
• Execute team assignments based on objectives, processes, and schedules.
• Read and apply harness, PCBA schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Support hardware bring-up, verification, testing, root-cause investigations, and improvements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and flight support to resolve issues.
