Job summary

Saic is looking for an Aviation / Avionics Systems Engineer to support NAVAIR PMA-209 in California, MD. The role involves providing engineering support for Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Satellite Communications and managing technical documentation.

Candidates must have a relevant degree or military experience, strong knowledge of radio operations, and excellent communication skills. The salary range for this position is $80,001 - $120,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and two years of experience in a related discipline or equivalent military/aviation experience.
• Experience with VHF, UHF and SATCOM waveforms used in DoD aircraft.
• US citizen with an active Secret clearance, able to get a Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering and Integration support to NAVAIR PMA-209.
• Conduct technical reviews of Engineering Change Orders for ARC-210 radios.
• Perform inspections and participate in customer audits and COMSEC inspections.

Skills

Experience with legacy and software defined radios

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Operational experience with ARC-210 Family of Radios

Self-starter and team-oriented

Ability to interpret schematics and technical specifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
