Job summary

Shield AI seeks an Avionics Specialist to support the X-BAT aircraft avionics team. You will contribute to design, verification, procurement, manufacturing and test for a flight-critical, custom avionics system handling communications, compute, AI, power and telemetry.

Join a cross-functional team; bring 2+ years in electrical engineering, harness design experience, and CAD/PLM familiarity. An on-site role in Seattle with competitive hourly pay and potential bonus is offered.

Qualifications

2+ years in an electrical engineering environment with test equipment.
Reading electrical schematics and applying root-cause analysis.
Hands-on harness design and build experience.
Familiarity with CAD tools and PLM systems such as Altium and Arena.
Ability to work independently and lead in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
Willingness to pursue a S//SAR clearance is desirable.

Responsibilities

Set up and execute test campaigns for circuits and subsystems; verify logic, voltage rails, and basic functions.
Support environmental qualification: temperature, vibration, altitude, humidity, etc.
Debug and root-cause system and circuit issues.
Design, verify, and deploy simple PCBAs.
Architect and build complex wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
Assist with equipment procurement and lab setup for prototype avionics manufacturing.
Capture results with clear, detailed documentation.
