A Secret security clearance is required. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and substantial DoD experience; a Master’s with 5 years can substitute.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience preferred, with DoD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to design, develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain new and existing test equipment and support equipment systems.
• Collaborate, plan and execute in support of repair efforts.

$5,000.00 Hiring Bonus Description: NSI requires a Mechanical Engineer to support the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Metrology Division. In this role you will provide full-spectrum Mechanical Engineering Support in the production environment within the FRCSE. The Metrology divisions support the Fleet using a multitude of test benches/Test Program Sets/ Common Support Equipment (CSE) and Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) providing end products to the U.S. Naval Aviation Fleet.

Essential Job Functions: Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the design, development, T&E, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems. The candidate will collaborate, plan and execute in support of repair efforts.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience: 10 years of experience and at preferably 5 years of Department of Defense experience.

Allowable Substitutions: A Master's Degree plus 5 years of experience.

Security Clearance: Secret
