Job summary

Western Aircraft, Inc. is offering an Avionics Internship for transitioning service members to gain civilian work experience. Interns will work up to 40 hours per week, training in FAA-certified Repair Stations to develop installation and troubleshooting skills on various aircraft types.

This internship does not guarantee employment, but successful participants may be evaluated for full-time positions. Interns will learn in a moderate noise environment and must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Preferred two years’ experience in general/military aviation avionics and/or general electronics.
• Advanced troubleshooting abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists with routine avionics installations and repairs on general aviation aircraft.
• Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work.
• Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details.
