Job summary

Gravitics is seeking an Avionics Integration & Test Engineer to own the assembly, integration, and verification of avionics and power systems for large space structures. You’ll collaborate with Avionics, Software, and Manufacturing to ensure systems are brought up safely and to mission requirements.

This role spans bench work and development of electrical test procedures, system checkouts, and integrated operations from early integration through environmental qualification and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or ABET-accredited discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of integration, test, or systems-focused engineering with electrical emphasis.
  • Deep understanding of circuit components, digital/analog electronics, power supplies, and avionics architectures.
  • Experience writing and executing electrical test procedures for subsystem and system-level hardware.
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools for test execution and data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, build, integration, and troubleshooting of HITL and EGSE test systems.
  • Develop and execute detailed electrical test procedures for avionics, power systems, and assemblies.
  • Perform subsystem-level testing and end-to-end electrical integration, including telemetry data evaluation.
  • Conduct functional checkouts: electrical continuity, power-on sequencing, integrated system operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve off-nominal electrical behavior in flight hardware and EGSE.
  • Interpret schematics, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and ICDs.
  • Contribute to TRRs and validate test results against design requirements.
  • Ensure hardware integration complies with safety, configuration control, and quality requirements.
