At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue National Security (BNS), where our focus is the design, development, and delivery of launch and spacecraft systems for national security missions. Through Blue Ring, our all-in-one, high-powered hybrid solar‑electric and chemical‑propelled spacecraft, we provide unmatched mission maneuverability, versatility, and capacity at dramatically lower‑profile costs. As part of a hardworking team of engineering professionals, you will design, analyze, integrate, and test avionics routed interconnect systems for spacecraft. You will work in a cross‑disciplinary environment with electrical, mechanical, structural, manufacturing, and systems engineers to develop reliable electrical harness installations for harsh space environments. In this role, you will own the mechanical design and analysis of electrical harness routing, installation hardware, and support brackets. You will develop 3D routed harness models, electrical interconnect diagrams, installation drawings, flattened harness drawings, harness bracket drawings using GD&T and associated technical data packages. You will use finite element analysis (FEA) and engineering hand calculations to validate harness support hardware and demonstrate compliance with structural, vibration, and interface requirements. We are looking for someone who applies strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required.
