Job summary

HRB is seeking a skilled avionics engineer to support CH-53K and EDM aircraft. The role focuses on maintaining prototype aircraft with specialized modifications and instrumentation as part of the government test team.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in avionics engineering or maintenance, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for Secret clearance. Collaboration with FST will contribute to readiness of next-gen heavy-lift helicopters.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
• 4+ years of progressive avionics engineering/maintenance experience.
• Experience coordinating with engineering/technical functions for maintenance/sustainment of avionics.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering and technical support for CH-53K/YCH-53K EDM aircraft.
• Maintains prototype aircraft with modifications and instrumentation for government testing.
• Supports maintenance and troubleshooting of CH-53K avionics; documents repairs and updates publications.
• Collaborates with FST to contribute to operational readiness of heavy-lift helicopters.

Experience:

• 4+ years of progressive responsible avionics engineering technical or maintenance experience in support of military or commercial aircraft.

Desired Experience

• 8+ years’ experience shall have consisted of coordinating with engineering/technical functions with respect to maintenance and/or sustainment of avionics systems, or equivalent
• Prior military aircraft organizational and/or intermediate maintenance, operation, and support with avionics experience, preferably in support of Generation 4 or greater technology.
• Knowledge of and experience with Department of War (DoW) and commercial standards in Avionics and/or electrical design.
• Knowledge of and experience with military operational manuals, and maintenance/sustainment technical publications.
• Strong communications skills with a proactive work ethic.

Position Description:

• Provides essential engineering and technical support for the CH-53K and YCH-53K Engineering Development Model (EDM) aircraft.
• Responsible for maintaining unique prototype aircraft equipped with special modifications and instrumentation as a key part of the government's Test and Evaluation team.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of CH-53K King Stallion avionics systems, documenting unique repairs and procedures and recommending publication updates for new capabilities and system upgrades under test.
• Collaborate closely with FST and offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the operational readiness of the next generation of heavy-lift helicopters.

Salary:

The projected salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 to $100,000; however, this is not a guarantee of salary. Salary will be set based on experience and contractual requirements.
