Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician in Dallas, TX. You will test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure safety and reliability while keeping production on schedule.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 4 years avionics/electrical experience or 2 years schooling plus 2 years experience, ability to read blueprints, English proficiency, and a valid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years avionics/electrical experience OR 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling + 2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Install and functionally test components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Diagnose and repair defective wiring and components using techniques like splicing, soldering, and pinning.
• Set up and operate test equipment and perform functional/operational testing.
• Complete engineering changes and aircraft modifications.
• Document completed work and prepare aircraft for inspection.
• Maintain test equipment and electronic systems.
• Follow safety, FOD, tool control, and 5‑S requirements.
• Adapt to changing schedules and support certification/testing, including flight tests when required.
• May provide backup support to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician.
