PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Avionics/Electrical Technician in Savannah, GA. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable aircraft and maintain production schedules.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of avionics/electrical experience or 2 years schooling + 2 years related work, and the ability to read schematics. A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Install and test components per engineering specs and manuals.
• Diagnose and repair wiring and components using splicing, soldering, and pinning.
• Set up and operate test equipment and perform functional/operational tests.
• Complete engineering changes and aircraft modifications.
• Document work and prepare aircraft for inspection.
• Maintain test equipment and electronic systems.
• Follow safety, FOD, tool control, and 5-S requirements.
• Support certification/testing and occasional flight tests.
• Provide backup support to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician.

Education

Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $32.19/hour | Schedule: Weekend Day Shift (5am – 5:30pm and Monday: 5:00am-9:00am

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician. In this hands-on role, you’ll test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems—helping ensure safe, reliable aircraft while keeping production schedules on track.

What You’ll Do

• Test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

• Install and functionally test components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.

• Diagnose and repair defective wiring and components using accepted techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.

• Set up and operate test equipment and perform functional/operational testing.

• Complete engineering changes and aircraft modifications.

• Properly document completed work and prepare aircraft for inspection.

• Maintain test equipment and electronic systems.

• Follow all safety, FOD, tool control, and 5-S requirements.

• Adapt to changing schedules and support aircraft certification/final testing, including flight tests when required.

• May provide backup support to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 4 years of avionics/electrical experience OR 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling + 2 years related experience.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace industry experience.

• FAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license.

• FCC certification.

• NCATT certification.

• Experience with additional aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural systems.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Details: $32.19 per hour
