Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $32.19/hour | Schedule: Weekend Day Shift (5am – 5:30pm and Monday: 5:00am-9:00am
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician. In this hands-on role, you’ll test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems—helping ensure safe, reliable aircraft while keeping production schedules on track.
Test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
Install and functionally test components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
Diagnose and repair defective wiring and components using accepted techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.
Set up and operate test equipment and perform functional/operational testing.
Complete engineering changes and aircraft modifications.
Properly document completed work and prepare aircraft for inspection.
Maintain test equipment and electronic systems.
Follow all safety, FOD, tool control, and 5-S requirements.
Adapt to changing schedules and support aircraft certification/final testing, including flight tests when required.
May provide backup support to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician.
High School Diploma or GED.
4 years of avionics/electrical experience OR 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling + 2 years related experience.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Aerospace industry experience.
FAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license.
FCC certification.
NCATT certification.
Experience with additional aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Details: $32.19 per hour
