Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita seeks an entry-level Avionics and Electrical Systems engineer to contribute to the product development pipeline for piston, turboprop, and jet aircraft. You will join the AES EDGE program, gaining foundational training and rotations across teams with mentorship.

Responsibilities include design, documentation, testing, and support across engineering and flight-test groups, building skills for a permanent role aligned to strengths.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
  • Experience with avionics/electrical systems per CFR 14 Part 23 is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare wiring diagrams and harness assembly using Mentor Graphics.
  • Assist in test plans, conformity requests, tests, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare functional test documents for avionics and electrical systems.
  • Support production and field activities including evaluations and root-cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with engineering, service, and flight/test teams on projects.
