Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth, MN seeks an early-career Avionics & Electrical Engineer 2 to conduct R&D activities from requirements to prototyping and validation. You will work on electrical systems, avionics, autopilot, and related domains in a collaborative lab and flight-test environment.

Requires a BS in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 2 years of aerospace experience, with hands-on lab skills and proficiency with NI LabView, Matlab, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or greater in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years aerospace industry experience.
• Proficiency with electrical/electronic design tools.
• Experience with prototyping and lab testing.
• Familiar with applicable regulations like Part 23/25.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype electrical/electronic systems in labs and flight tests.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve goals.
• Execute assignments with minimal guidance.
• Develop and validate functional and performance requirements.
• Hands-on building using lab tools and equipment.
• Develop and execute test plans for prototypes.
• Generate schematics and wiring diagrams per procedures.
• Participate in test aircraft installations and evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
