Job summary

Gengalactic seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop avionics for our product fleet, including missions planned for 2026 and 2027. You will own major parts of electrical system development, testing, qualification, and deployment for General Galactic missions and vehicles.

You will design, wire, and test hardware, utilize ECAD tools, and collaborate with a focused technical team in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of electrical hardware development experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, board bring-up, and debugging.
• Experience with analog, digital, power, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with CAN, RS-422, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet and discrete I/O.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver spacecraft electrical systems meeting power and interface requirements.
• Own schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and bring-up.
• Design avionics, power electronics, sensors, comms, and microcontroller hardware.
• Develop wiring harnesses, connectors, grounding, shielding, and EC documents.
• Perform bench testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, and iterations.
• Support system integration, environmental testing, qualification, and acceptance testing.
