Job summary

Hermeus is seeking an Avionics Electrical Engineer to own the design and integration of electrical systems for flight vehicles and ground test assets. You will work across GNC, flight software, propulsion, and test teams to deliver robust hardware from concept to vehicle integration.

The role emphasizes schematic and wiring development, power budgeting, signal integrity, and rapid iteration on aerospace hardware in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 4+ years in electrical hardware design or avionics integration.
• Experience creating schematics, wiring diagrams, or test procedures.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with electrical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, and test avionics and electrical systems for flight vehicles and test assets.
• Own electrical hardware from concept through design, build, and vehicle integration.
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, harness/interface definitions, and test procedures.
• Support architecture trades across power distribution, instrumentation, and data buses.
• Collaborate with GNC, flight software, propulsion, and manufacturing teams.
• Perform power budgets, signal integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Bring up, troubleshoot, and modify electrical systems at bench and vehicle level.
• Support ground, environmental, and flight test campaigns.
• Maintain configuration control over drawings, wiring diagrams, and docs.
