Job summary

RPMGlobal is seeking a Data Processing & Avionics Test Specialist for 100% onsite work at China Lake, CA on a 9/80 schedule. You will perform post-flight data processing, real-time display support, and preliminary quality analysis for F/A-18 flight test operations, ensuring rapid extraction, integrity, and delivery of telemetry and onboard data.

The role collaborates with test conductors, instrumentation personnel, and software developers, and includes assisting the IT team with general IT

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required due to sensitive requirements.
Degree combinations as listed; experience may substitute per guidance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
Must work onsite at China Lake, CA on a 9/80 schedule; no remote work.
Willingness to travel up to 12 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

Execute post-flight processing, extraction, formatting, and reduction of avionics data.
Coordinate processing pipelines for new data configurations and upgrades.
Manage data storage media and logs in DoD security-compliant ways.
Perform QA checks to identify data dropouts, frame errors, and timing issues.
Deliver tailored data products to project engineers and test conductors.
Assist the airborne instrumentation team with pre-flight checkouts.
Support IT as needed for desktop and network equipment.
