Job summary

NAWCWD China Lake invites applications for a Data Analyst within the F-18 IPT. You will analyze data, create analysis tools, and report test results for F/A-18 C/D integration testing, contributing to engineering reviews and system performance assessments.

The role emphasizes learning complex aircraft data, developing automated analyses, and supporting live test missions with timely data delivery across ground, lab, and flight environments.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering with related flight-test/avionics experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical data and use multiple data sets.
Excellent written and spoken communication to coordinate with agencies and contractors.
Eligibility to obtain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Analyze flight-test data and develop analysis tools to evaluate system performance.
Prepare and report test results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Design data collection requirements and test scenarios for ground, lab, and flight tests.
Support test planning and execution, including instrumentation and data recording.
Work with emulators/simulators to integrate multi-system data during testing.
Interface with government agencies and contractors to ensure Navy interests are met.
