Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to focus on circuit design for avionics components. This role includes responsibilities such as designing, troubleshooting, and modernizing circuit boards, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and hands-on skills with older avionics systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Hands-on experience with older avionics systems, components, or military/aerospace electronics.
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and component-level troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, or other aerospace standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update electrical circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts.
• Perform reverse engineering and redesign for obsolete or discontinued avionics components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet aerospace industry standards.
• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of circuit boards and electronic systems.
• Prepare technical documentation including design reports, test procedures, and compliance records.
• Support sustaining engineering activities to extend the lifecycle of existing avionics products.
