Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a skilled Electronic Component Assembler to join the Avionics team. This second shift position focuses on fabricating and assembling high quality wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies for space launch hardware, following detailed instructions and ensuring proper QA-ready documentation.

You will read schematics, process controls, and drawings, provide feedback for improvements, and comply with FOD, tool control, and safety rules.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools to assemble or build a product (electrical, structural, or any type of trade training or experience).
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with first-rate work efficiency and accuracy.
  • Must have the dexterity and ability to perform hands-on harness assembly for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use e-mail and MS Office programs.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble high quality, high reliability wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies, working from detailed instructions.
  • Ensures that all work performed is properly and completely documented in preparation for QA inspection.
  • Read and interpret design documents, process controls, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and drawings.
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing engineering on quality, discrepancy identification and manufacturing and design improvements.
  • Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  • Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work.

This position will be on the 2nd shift, 3-11:30pm, and will sit in our electronics manufacturing facility in Cedar Park, TX.

SUMMARY

Firefly Electronic Component Assemblers work closely with the Avionics team in the design, build, integration, and test of fully functional space launch rockets, satellites, and landers. This work primarily includes the assembly of avionics harnesses and associated flight hardware. The compensation and responsibilities will be adjusted to match the experience level and abilities of the candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
