Job summary

GMRE is seeking an Avionics Aircraft Technician for a day shift in Colorado. The role involves maintenance of avionics systems, including radar, data processing, navigation, and display, with potential per-diem eligibility per GSA standards.

Must read schematics, interpret maintenance procedures, and recommend improvements to equipment performance. Qualified candidates have 6+ years in aircraft maintenance support on F-16s, wiring experience, and the ability to obtain an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Six years total experience with two years recent in avionics maintenance on F-16.
• Experience wiring aircraft and installing avionics systems (routing, termination, Ethernet, copper, power, coax, shielded twisted pairs).
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance; valid driver’s license.
• Normal color vision and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles for maintenance.
• Interpret symbols in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Handle hazardous waste and materials.
• Remove and replace F-16 aircraft parts and accessories.
• Make adjustments and settings per Technical Data Specifications.
