Job summary

GMRE is recruiting an Avionics Aircraft Technician for day shift. The role involves maintenance of radar, data processing, navigation and data display systems, with potential per-diem based on GSA standards.

The candidate must have hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles, wiring, schematics, and be able to interpret technical data while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. F-16 experience preferred.

Job Summary

GMRE is currently recruiting for an Avionics Aircraft Technician. This position is day shift and may be eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards. The Avionics Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and must possess knowledge of the electronic principles involved in a number of applications such as radar, data processing, navigation and data display.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of six (6) years total and two (2) years recent (within 4 years of task order PoP start) experience in aircraft maintenance support on F-16 aircraft as an avionics technician.
• Must have experience working with aircraft wiring, routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, coaxial wires, shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
• Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.

Physical Requirements

• Normal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Travel

• Occasional travel may be required for meetings, trainings, or site visits.

$38.19/hour
