Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is seeking an experienced Upholstery Technician IV to design, fabricate, and install aircraft interior upholstery and trim. You will mentor teammates, oversee projects with the Shop Lead, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in a high-precision aerospace environment.

Responsibilities include fabricating seat covers, panels, and carpets, interpreting drawings, and using the Corridor system to manage parts and tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years upholstery experience including 2 years aircraft upholstery or 6 years commercial upholstery.
• Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, and assemblies.
• Interpret material specs and drawings to meet design requirements.
• Sew, fabricate, and install panel covers for aircraft interiors.
• Use Corridor to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.
• Install advanced custom design carpets with unique patterns.
• Lead responsibilities when needed; oversee projects and delegate tasks.
• Conduct safety audits and assist in safety program compliance.
• Maintain shop equipment and JSAs; ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
