Job summary

AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Little Rock, Arkansas to design and build military aircraft, business jets and space systems. We are seeking an Upholstery Fabricator to fabricate, develop, build, sew, and cover aircraft soft goods.

The role involves sewing, fabricating, and finishing seats, panels, and related components, operating sewing machines and related tools, and interpreting patterns and drawings to meet specifications and budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of aircraft upholstery experience.
• Able to setup and operate all standard equipment related to upholstery.
• Able to work from documentation such as 3D models, blueprints, drawings, F-standards, preparation packages, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform sewing or upholstery operations of high quality and within budget.
• Disassemble and reassemble various models of vendor passenger seats.
• Perform maintenance such as proper glue application, adhesive bonding, hardware, and rivet installation.
• Style a variety of foams to meet specifications/customer requirements.
• Layout, match, cut, and sew various routine and non-routine sewing operations.
• Develop patterns from prints, sketches, models, and verbal instructions.
• Inspect, select, and work with fabrics, leathers, foams, and other materials.
• Fabricate and upholster all soft goods including aircraft seats, divans, panels.
• Set up and operate equipment such as routers, sanders, sewing machines.
