Job summary

Flexjet LLC in Cleveland seeks a Crew Lead to supervise the Upholstery and Panel Shop, coordinating fabrication, assembly, and installation of soft goods and interior panels for custom aircraft interiors.

You will manage a skilled team, plan workflows, ensure process specs and safety standards are met, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Project Management to deliver on time while promoting a safe, efficient, and improvement-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational upholstery training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on aircraft upholstery experience.
• 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet production demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise upholstery department daily operations; ensure efficient workflow and quality output.
• Align upholstery work with process specs, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Coach and develop staff; promote accountability and teamwork.
• Provide direction and feedback through regular communications and mentorship.
• Plan department schedules to meet production timelines.
• Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to maintain productivity.
• Maintain quality standards across all projects.
• Monitor materials, tooling, and inventory; coordinate with procurement.
• Provide status updates to Director of Interiors and support planning.
