Job summary

Peraton in Reston, VA is hiring an Operating Leader to run the Aviation & Transportation Operating Unit within Federal Civilian. You will own P&L, drive growth, and set the delivery rhythm across multiple DOT and FAA programs.

You will lead PMs and delivery directors, shape recompetes, and partner with FedCiv BD to build a robust pipeline while maintaining DOT/FAA compliance and high operational standards.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of professional experience; dept./construction of programs is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of Program Management experience with financial oversight and reporting.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within the DOT and/or FAA client space with in-depth mission and IT ecosystem knowledge.
• Strong business and technical acumen in managed IT infrastructure services and agile delivery.
• Exceptional P&L management and program turnaround skills.
• Proven track record of supporting and growing high-performing contracts.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L for the Aviation & Transportation Operating Unit across all programs.
• Set the operating cadence: monthly reviews, forecasting, staffing plans, risk management.
• Serve as Peraton's senior executive relationship with DOT and FAA stakeholders.
• Lead a team of program managers, delivery directors, and functional leads.
• Partner with FedCiv BD, capture, and solutioning to build pipeline and recompetes.
• Own workforce strategy: hiring, retention, leadership bench, critical-skill pipelines.
• Drive delivery excellence: EVM, subcontractor performance, CDRLs, RMF posture.
• Represent the portfolio in sector reviews and with Finance, HR, Contracts.
