Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Site Manager for the KC-46 Aircrew Training System at a U.S. site. You will lead ATS site activation, training program implementation, budgeting, and daily operations, coordinating with Training System Services and Maintenance Manager.

The role requires five years in an ATS environment, with management experience, and a strong background in aircrew instruction or related aviation training. A SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, experience, and training required.
  • Master’s degree in aviation or management is highly desirable.
  • Five years of ATS experience; two years in a management or supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience as a military tanker Pilot/Boom Operator Instructor or receiver Pilot Instructor preferred.
  • Fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Currently possess, or be able to obtain, a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Aircrew Instructors in all specialties and coordinate site activities with Training System Services and Maintenance Manager.
  • Manage the KC-46 ATS Formal Training Unit (FTU) and site activation.
  • Develop concepts, policies, and procedures for managing assigned tasks; provide contractually correct support.
  • Research, develop, and document training system support requirements and interfaces across operations missions.
  • Maintain awareness of activities and trends in operations systems and requirements for the KC-46 mission.
  • Report site status to Program Management; assist in planning and directing ATS site implementation.
  • Supervise staff responsible for instruction, maintenance, scheduling, training, and administration; evaluate performance.
  • Participate in PMR meetings, manage site budget, and advise on staffing requirements.
  • Represent FlightSafety with local Air Force base and community; travel as required.
