Job summary

HHS Aviation is seeking an Aviation Training Coordinator to lead training programs, manage LMS records, and ensure regulatory compliance across FAA/TSA/OSHA requirements. You will partner with station leadership to build a skilled workforce and maintain training schedules.

The role requires coordinating instructor-led and online training, auditing documentation, and developing SOPs while upholding a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of aviation operations, training, safety, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating employee training programs and maintaining compliance records.
  • Working knowledge of FAA, TSA, OSHA, airport authority, and airline operational requirements.
  • Experience with Workday Learning, LMS, or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all new hire, recurrent, remedial, and compliance training for station personnel.
  • Schedule classroom, on-the-job, and computer-based training while ensuring staffing needs.
  • Maintain training records and ensure LMS compliance.
  • Track certifications and expiration dates for all employees.
  • Prepare training materials, attendance rosters, and course documentation.
  • Assist trainers and leaders with onboarding and qualification processes.
  • Conduct training audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate airport authority, airline, TSA, SIDA, OSHA training.
  • Generate reports on overdue, upcoming, and completed trainings.
  • Support SOPs, manuals, and job aids updates.

Job description

The Aviation Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, administering, and tracking all training activities to ensure employees meet company, airline, airport authority, and regulatory training requirements. This role supports operational excellence by maintaining training compliance, scheduling instructor-led and online training, managing records, and partnering with station leadership to develop a highly skilled workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all new hire, recurrent, remedial, and compliance training for station personnel.
  • Schedule classroom, on-the-job, and computer-based training while ensuring operational staffing requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance within Workday or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Track required certifications, qualifications, and expiration dates for all employees.
  • Communicate upcoming training requirements and compliance deadlines to station leadership.
  • Prepare training materials, attendance rosters, sign-in sheets, and course documentation.
  • Assist trainers and operational leaders with onboarding programs and qualification processes.
  • Conduct training audits to ensure documentation is complete and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Coordinate airport authority, airline customer, TSA, SIDA, OSHA, and company-required training.
  • Generate reports identifying overdue, upcoming, and completed training activities.
  • Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training manuals, and job aids.
  • Support investigations involving training deficiencies and recommend corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and training documentation.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of aviation operations, training, safety, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating employee training programs and maintaining compliance records preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FAA, TSA, OSHA, airport authority, and airline operational requirements preferred.
  • Experience with Workday Learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or similar training platforms preferred.
  • Preferred: Experience delivering aviation operational training, developing training materials, and facilitating classroom or hands-on instruction.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must pass all airport background screening requirements and possess a valid driver's license (where applicable).
