Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel seeks an interim Trade Compliance Manager to develop and direct a comprehensive program on-site at the Memphis corporate office. The role reports to a direct supervisor and involves managing a small team and coordinating with legal, supply chain, and leadership to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience overseeing and improving a trade compliance program.
• Familiarity with U.S. agency processes for filing international movement of goods.
• Experience with aerospace/defense commodity classification.
• Experience obtaining export licenses and license exceptions.
• Experience with drop shipments and routed transactions.
• Knowledge of sectoral sanctions and end-user restrictions.
• Understanding of EAR, OFAC, FTR, and USCBP requirements for civil aircraft parts.
• Experience with internal audits under a Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the trade compliance program, including policies, procedures, oversight, and internal controls.
• Monitor import and export transactions for compliance with domestic and international requirements.
• Oversee direct reports and third parties involved in import/export operations.
• Engage with leadership and the legal function on emerging trade compliance matters.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
• Train employees on trade compliance matters.
• May on occasion be required to perform duties other than those specified in this job description.
