Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Builder Jig for a premier aviation manufacturer in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on planning, constructing, and assembling precision tool and die tooling to support aircraft production.

You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure parts meet exact specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on machining experience, proficiency with mills, lathes, drill presses, and precision measurement tools,

Qualifications

• Experience in conventional machining and sheet metal fabrication.
• 5+ years tool and die construction experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, Methods, and Tool Design documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using precision measurement instruments.
• Ability to set up and operate machining and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of tool and die construction methods, materials, and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with trigonometry, geometry, and algebra.

Responsibilities

• Plan and construct tool and die layouts from engineering documentation.
• Build, assemble, and verify tooling and dies to meet specifications.
• Use precision measurement instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Determine raw materials and procure for tool and die fabrication.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Tool Design, Production, and Manufacturing teams.
