Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Kansas seeks a hardware/software test engineer to design, assemble, and maintain hydraulic, electrical and computer-based test systems. You will work from schematics and drawings, install instrumentation, calibrate and test equipment, and analyze data to verify proper operation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited university is required.
5-8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Design, construct, fabricate, assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment (hydraulic, electrical, and computer-based).
Perform tests using electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
Support commissioning of new test equipment.
Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions.
Analyze data to verify instrumentation performance on installation.
Calibrate and align test equipment as needed.
Collaborate in a team environment and work independently when required.
Follow safety procedures for potentially hazardous activities.
