Landrum & Brown in Chicago seeks a Terminal Planner to join our growing aviation planning team. We welcome architects, engineers, or planners to shape terminal projects at major airports worldwide and play a leading role in defining terminal programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, Planning, Aviation, or related field.
• Experience in airport planning with terminal planning expertise.
• Knowledge of operations, passenger flow, landside/airfield interfaces.
• Experience delivering terminal planning projects at medium or large hub airports.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to engage clients.

Responsibilities

• Shape programmatic requirements for major airports across the U.S. and beyond.
• Develop, refine, and evaluate alternatives for passenger terminal, airfield, and landside facilities.
• Support planning studies by preparing reports, visuals, and presentations.
• Assist with cost estimates, facility phasing, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and stakeholders to bring innovative solutions to life.
• Provide on-site client support and contribute to design workshops and facility surveys.
• Mentor and provide direction to junior team members.
