SUMMARY:Perform maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles, following technical data from manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, and industry standards, as approved by the FAA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform maintenance and alterations on aircraft components according to technical data and industry standards.
  • Familiarize with tools and equipment used in their responsibilities.
  • Record work performed accurately in maintenance records.
  • Use proper inspection techniques and calibrated equipment.
  • Adhere to inspection procedures, quality policies, and safety directives.
  • Maintain shop tools in operational condition.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical Degree (Airframe and Powerplant Certification) or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience or an additional 2 years of work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to teardown, inspect, requisition parts, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in MRO, aviation, repair shop, or similar light industrial work.

OTHER:

  • Background check and drug testing required.
