Job summary

KBR, through AFCAP V, provides Southwest Asia Transient Aircraft Services and related support to U.S. and Coalition forces.

The TAS Technician executes aircraft ground handling, marshaling, and servicing on the flight line to ensure safe, efficient operations in a high-tempo environment. Responsibilities include aircraft arrival/departure, turn‑around, and servicing, with strict adherence to safety directives and Technical Orders.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.
• 3–5 years of experience in aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, or Transient Aircraft Services.
• Hands-on experience working on a flight line or in aircraft ground operations.
• Ability to operate in austere conditions and support 24/7/365 flight line operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ZERO Harm safety and flight line safety requirements, including FOD prevention and PPE use.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, and positioning per Technical Orders and procedures.
• Execute aircraft arrival/departure services, including chocking and grounding for safe positioning.
• Conduct aircraft servicing to support turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist in launch/Recovery operations with Supervisors and Airfield Management.
• Inspect and service equipment, ensuring proper tool control and accountability.
• Document servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of flight line and work areas.
• Support training and qualification to maintain mission readiness.
• Adapt to austere conditions while maintaining safety and discipline.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Site Manager.
