Job summary

Heads Up Technologies in Addison, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of prototype and production units across the product portfolio.

You will work hands-on with CAD, create detailed drawings, coordinate with electrical and software teams, and support manufacturing from concept to release.

We value integrity, teamwork, and excellence; a BS in mechanical engineering and 3+ years of design experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in producing drawings and documents for internal/external use.
• Experience with CAD software and designing for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed design work of mechanical components and assemblies for prototype and production units.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and component documentation; perform HALT testing and support tooling/fixtures.
• Prepare and present mechanical designs at design reviews.
• Participate in R&D and new product design efforts across product portfolio.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Software teams to ensure successful integration and execution.
• Support engineering change notices (ECNs) and end-of-life (EOL) design updates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, tooling vendors, and manufacturing partners to optimize manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
• Flex schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; US citizenship required.
