Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage spares for the fleet, including procurement, inventory control and warranty tracking. Hybrid work arrangement in Lewisville, TX with a rotating on-site schedule and a $50k–$60k per year salary plus a $10,000 stipend.

The role focuses on establishing stock levels, forecasting, lead-time planning, and maintaining base inventories while ensuring timely delivery and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ experience with supply chain concepts required.
• Buyer experience required.
• Aviation industry experience preferred.
• Technical knowledge of aircraft parts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish inventory stock levels with usage history, forecasts, shelf life, etc.
• Plan lead-time orders and negotiate reschedules, cancellations and expedites of spares with OEMs and suppliers.
• Maintain minimum spares for existing and new bases.
• Review requisitions for proper description, quantity and delivery requirements.
• Obtain quotes, evaluate cost and negotiate final cost of spares for the fleet.
• Procure components, equipment and supplies with reliability in time-critical aircraft operations.
• Maintain supplier relations and monitor purchase prices to meet cost reduction goals.
• Manage flow of materials from order to receipt and reconcile open vendor order reports.
• Track repairs/exchanges/loaners and assist with PN’s on aircraft and equipment.
