Elliott Aviation in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Aircraft Service Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and service aircraft, ensuring peak performance and regulatory compliance. You’ll use advanced tools and manuals to diagnose issues and perform preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; A&P certification preferred or in progress.
• 4+ years in aircraft maintenance or related field.
• Experience in MRO, airline or aerospace environments.
• FAA Part 145 familiarity and documentation knowledge.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and regulatory docs.
• Hands-on with hand/power tools and diagnostic gear.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections per FAA regs and shop programs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to keep aircraft airworthy.
• Read engineering docs, service bulletins, logs.
• Remove and reinstall components like panels and landing gear.
• Use diagnostic tools to verify system performance.
• Document work orders and compliance records accurately.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet timelines and safety standards.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols, including hazardous materials.
