Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Service Engineer in San Antonio, TX to handle technical data, customer liaison, and engine work scope development in collaboration with Engineering and Operations. The role emphasizes compliance with 14 CFR regulations and airworthiness requirements.

The position requires a mechanical or aerospace engineering background or equivalent aviation MRO experience, with strong project management and communication skills and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from ABET-accredited university or 5+ years aviation MRO experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 21, 33, 43, 91, 121, 145 is preferred.
• Experience supporting 14 CFR 145 operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain technical data and documentation in compliance with 14 CFR regulations.
• Serve as technical liaison for customers on technical and contractual requirements.
• Review customer requirements and develop engine work scopes and troubleshooting plans.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to production, coordinating with Engineering and Operations on repairs and new products.
• Ensure engine configuration compliance with Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
• Prepare engine condition reports and support estimating, invoicing, and First Article Inspections.
• Generate and maintain Shop Orders, Work Instructions, and other technical documents.
• Support corrective action investigations and continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, and turnaround time.
• Identify safety risks and report safety concerns following Just Culture principles.
• Provide technical expertise for special projects as assigned.
