Job summary

Forge requires a Project Manager to join a dynamic team supporting aviation security projects for the TSA and Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport.

The role involves translating business and technical requirements for developers, coordinating with government stakeholders, and guiding the design and implementation of BI reporting and biometric access control projects. You will lead cross-functional squads, manage backlogs, scrum ceremonies, and ensure security clearances and compliance.

Aviation Security Project Manager

Job Description

Forge requires a Project Manager to become part of a dynamic team supporting aviation security projects for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW). This position will work closely with the government and airport stakeholders on these engagements and provide expert consultative services designed to help understand and document their business, functional, and technical requirements and translate them for developers. The TSA project centers around the development of Power BI business intelligence reporting for all checked baggage screening nationwide. The DFW project will involve coordinating the design and installation of biometric access control technology for the authentication of airport employees and the development of a remote monitoring application. This role will coordinate with stakeholders and scrum teams to prioritize demands, maximize planning analysis, track progress toward meeting customers' requirements and objectives, test deliverables, and communicate product development schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):

• Plan, direct, or coordinate activities to document business and technical requirements, outcomes, user stories, and model processes.
• Facilitate functional and technical calls with government customers to cover topics including requirements analysis, project status, functional solutions, tasking, risks, and actions.
• Perform, facilitate, and document human-centered design activities.
• Work directly with technical staff to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain an active backlog that is continuously updated and re-prioritized.
• Facilitate and support team working in sprints for the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by removing impediments and coordinating necessary collaboration channels as needed.
• Validate business process workflows by testing, system modeling, and end-user testing.
• Maintain Active Federal Security Clearance and Airport Security Access.
