Job description

Aviation Security Manager, BR Operations - Transportation, Amazon Logistics and Sort Centers

The Amazon Aviation Security (AvSec) team is seeking an enthusiastic, customer obsessed AvSec Security Specialist to provide support and oversight for x-ray screening operations in Brazil. This a new initiative for the transportation supply chain to secure the supply chain for air cargo on passenger aircraft.

We have 2 roles: one in Contagem, Minas Gerais and the other in Rio De Janeiro.

Responsibilities include supporting the Regional AvSec Manager and ensuring compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes. The AvSec Manager performs ongoing assessments of operating risks and the development of appropriate mitigation strategies to sustain business operations, existing and future.

This is a new and evolving business operation. We are looking for someone who can introduce best practices and move with a strong bias for action as we ramp up these efforts.



Key job responsibilities
- Managing ambiguity through knowledge, experience and to allocate resources to meet daily goals
- Managing processes, vendor x-ray screening operators and be responsible for securing the supply chain for external fulfillment to air
- Assisting with developing the workforce to meet long-term process targets
- Supporting a team of 3rd party vendors
- Verifying compliance with security procedures and regulatory standards, physical security design standards and policies and utilize Security Management Systems (SeMS) processes for risk mitigation
- Developing new and evaluating existing security standards by establishing workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms by ensuring customer outcomes are data driven, measured and validated

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with all Microsoft Office applications;
- Advanced English, both written and oral
- Experience in a customer service driven environment
- Experience conducting workplace risk investigations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in security or related field.
- Experience in one or all of the following disciplines: corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security, AvSec.
