Position Purpose

This is a Casual role to support Certis with Aviation Screener (Lobby) Operations across Sydney Airport.

The position requires the officer to perform Aviation Screener on freight by following the relevant SOP’s and using the screening equipment provided.

  • Aircraft Guarding – Cabin Access Control
  • Aircraft Guarding – Ramp Access Control
  • Aircraft Guarding – Tarmac Catering Screening
  • Aircraft – Search Procedure
  • Aviation Security Reporting Procedures
  • SSSS’ Selectees & Random and Continues Selection of LPOD Passengers
  • ContactQantas Duty Shift Manager at completion of shift

What you will be doing:

  • Physical Searches and Inspections
  • Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) Examinations
  • Training staff
  • Completing admin duties related to the role of Cargo Examination Officer
  • Reporting and escalation of security and safety events and incidents

CUSTOMER SERVICE experience is a MUST!

Note that to progress into a permanent position you are required to successfully complete theCertificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP)and, at the end of your On-the-Job Training, be deemed capable of making independent screening decisions.

Immediate Start for the right candidate. We require flexibility and 24/7 availability.

Security Award Level 2 Rates + Aviation Allowance payable on each hour.

Qualification

Mandatory qualifications may include:

Experience

Screening experience or experience in a similar role preferred
