Job summary

CSSI, LLC, headquartered in Washington, DC, seeks qualified professionals to support the FAA in aviation safety initiatives. The role centers on end-to-end meeting planning, logistics, and cross-agency collaboration to develop and disseminate technical guidance and safety recommendations.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of aviation experience, with pilot or ATC background preferred, and US citizenship or qualifying residency for security clearances.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year of direct aviation experience in flight operations, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide End-to-End Meeting Planning and Logistics Coordination
  • Provide planning services for Safety Team, regional, national and international meetings, and safety conferences
  • Provide support required to arrange meeting location, prepare meeting site, and logistical support
  • Coordinate planning for, develop and disseminate content and publications for meetings and conferences
  • Analyze aviation operational, regulatory, and safety issues supporting safety in the NAS
  • Develop and evaluate recommendations to improve aviation safety and operational performance
  • Support policy development and the creation of standards, guidance, and technical documentation
  • Conduct data-driven analysis, technical studies, and research to support program objectives
  • Prepare technical reports, findings, and recommendations for Government and stakeholder use
  • Support development of briefings, position papers, and technical guidance to inform FAA and stakeholder decision-making
  • Collaborate with team members, FAA program offices, and industry stakeholders on analytical and operational initiatives
  • Experience working with FAA Headquarters and supporting cross-organizational collaboration and executive-level communications
  • Applied technical expertise in aviation safety programs or aviation-related domains
  • Experience supporting development of technical studies, operational recommendations, or aviation guidance materials
